Today, we decided to perform a test shoot for our duplicate screen set. In our final music video, our artist will be facing her self on a long wooden table, with smashed up clocks, metronomes and candles covering the table. This will also potentially be converted to black and white in the editing process.
Because this scene will come to life during editing, we thought that trialling this out before hand would give us a grasp on how our music video will look as a whole. As well as this, we could see if we actually liked this editing technique.
To do this test shoot, Anna filmed me twice. Once sitting on one end of a table and then another time with me sitting on the other end of the table. After this, we compiled both videos together on our laptops resulting in this short sequence:
I was really happy with the outcome of this trial shoot as it was what I envisioned it to be. I think that when we are in the studio with the set and props all set up and the lighting set lowkey, the shots in this location will look really effective.
